Sharks Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)
Wednesday, February 01, 2012
The Sharks started what will be a very busy post-All-Star break portion of their schedule with a rare laugher Tuesday night, blanking the woeful Columbus Blue Jackets 6-0 at home. It was a result they hope to see more of between now and the end of a regular season that will have the team playing far more frequently than early on. "It can, and we hope it will," coach Todd McLellan said of the result representing a sign of things to come. "But every game is different, every game has its own set of circumstances and takes on its own personality." Tuesday's restart from the break kicked off a challenging schedule that features San Jose playing 35 games in 68 nights after taking a 115 days to play its first 47.
